Treatwell’s Statement on the Digital Services Act - Annual Reporting
On 16 November 2022, European Union Regulation the Digital Service Act (“DSA”) entered into force, aimed at preventing illegal and harmful activities online, including the spread of disinformation. It ensures user safety, the protection of fundamental rights, and fosters a fair and open online platform environment, while establishing a level playing field for online intermediaries in their role of connecting consumers with goods, services, and content.
Treatwell Limited and its affiliated companies (“Treatwell Group”) are fully dedicated to promoting a secure digital environment and tackling the dissemination of illegal content, as well as the societal risks of disinformation in accordance with the principles outlined in the DSA.
Information on average active monthly users
Pursuant to Article 24 (2) of the DSA, online platforms are required to disclose information on the average monthly active recipients of the service in the Union, calculated as an average over the period of the past six months.
In line with the EU’s guidance on how to calculate “average monthly active recipients of our service, we have calculated the same during the period July 1st 2023 to December 31st 2023. The average number has been estimated to be well below the threshold of a Very Large Online Platform set at 45 million average monthly active recipients.
Ongoing commitment
In its mission to fully comply with the DSA, the Treatwell Group will continue to closely monitor the number of average monthly active recipients of its services in the EU and will update the information provided here set in line with the requirements of Article 24 (2) of the DSA.
