Had a nice full gel manicure from Tara. Took longer than scheduled as she wasn't happy with how the polish I chose was going on and didn't want me to be unhappy with the result, so gave me the chance to switch to a different polish, which I appreciated.
I have been going to 1st Beauty ever since it opened and to Daphne (it's owner) before then. My waxing experience this time as ever was impeccable, Daf is the fastest, neatest, most hygienic beautician I have ever come across. She, along with Elena and Tara, the other lovely beauticians who work alongside Daphne always do their best to squeeze you in if you have a special occasion or urgent crisis and provide an extremely friendly, professional service, happy to redo, tweak or touch up anything that requires it. Rarely, have I had to wait for my treatments and never in the past 12 years, have i experienced a cancellation. (Incidental assortments of toffees and random samples of homemade brownies can also feature as a happy bonus depending on the day/occasion!) It is a testament to her exceptional work ethic and wonderful personality that once you start with Daphne, you stay with Daphne (even as it turns out, if you have moved cities).
