It wasn't like any sports massage I've ever had but it was really good! It certainly helped me recover from my race at the weekend and made me realise just how much tension I had in my neck from work. It was quite painful in places and left me sore the next day but in a good way!
Sports Massage
The massage started out a bit strange as it was more of a 'Thai Style' massage, but I was pleasantly surprised that the masseuse targeted all the areas that needed attention. It was great pressure on tight areas of the muscles. The room was below ground level so slightly stuffy but I would go back.
Deep Tissue Massage
I really enjoyed the massaged. I'd never had a Thai massage before, and it was a really great way to get the crunches out of my back and relax me. The therapist was very good and had a great flow with her message technique.
The pedicure and paraffin treatment was also good, but I would have preferred comfier chairs to sit in and somewhere to put my drink, especially after such a lovely massage. I was given a lovely cup of Thai tea, and the lady who did my pedicure, Simone, did a great job. The nail drier did stop working at one point, but luckily I'd bought sandals with me.
I had an evening appointment and was the last person out, which meant I saw people rushing around to tidy up, which kind of took away from the relaxing element. I would go back, but I think during the day :)
