I used a groupon deal for a cut and finish with the creative stylist for myself and mother. I was so disappointed with the level of professionalism and would not recommend the salon to anyone. The stylist cutting my hair was incredibly sweet and I can't fault her. However, the other woman (who I believe to be the owner, Abi) was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I feel she was just trying to rip me off without any consideration to the service. When we arrived at the salon we were not greeted by anyone or asked anything. We sat ourselves down and just waited until we were eventually asked if we had an appointment. The stylist who was doing my hair was then called over by Abi and they started whispering about me which is extremely unprofessional. The stylist then told me I would have to pay more because of the length of my hair at which point I told her not to worry and that I'd curl it myself (even though the deal included a style and finish, and made no mention of an extra charge for long hair). Anyway, I was then asked if the trainee could wash my hair. A very sweet girl but extremely inexperienced, her second day on the job. The wash took very long and I didn't feel it was done properly. I agreed to let her wash my hair though, and am not complaining about that but instead about the time it took, as Abi used this as one of her reasons as to why I should have to pay more. The stylist then went on to curl my hair anyway even though I said I wasn't paying extra and before she could finish Abi made mention of how long it was taking, so she then went straight over to my mother, leaving me with my hair not completely finished and the black cape still on me. She then rushed my mother's hair (I assume because she felt under pressure from Abi). At this point Abi then told me we would both have to pay extra due to the length of our hair. I told her that it didn't say this in the groupon deal, I wasn't informed when booking (had I been I would have gone elsewhere) and when informed of an extra charge just before my hair was washed, I had told her not to curl it. Abi then went on to have a full blown argument with me in front of customers about this due to the time it took (which wasn't entirely my fault as the trainee washing my hair took long and I told the stylist not to curl my hair) and she was very confrontational and rude. It ended with me getting very upset, and Abi reluctantly saying "fine don't pay it". I have never had such bad customer service.
Beautiful hair salon with a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Excellent customer service including an offer of drinks which are brought out on a tray with a chocolate and biscuit for an added luxury! Great haircut and blow dry, the hair stylist listened to what I wanted and was friendly and professional throughout, 5 stars all round.
I booked the night before and when I arrived in the morning I definately wasn't expected. They then looked at my hair and added an extra £35 (Which was a lot considering the original price was only £32). However I do have thick, long hair so I did expect to pay more...just not that much! Katrina was lovely and very friendly (As was the owner Abi) and she did a great job on my hair so overall I am happy.
I payed for a senior but was given a junior and had to pay an extra £10 even tho I had payed already for a cut and style yet only recieved a cut would not recomend this place . The girl was nice who cut my hair the owner is not reasonable
Definitely recommend. Been five times now and happy each time. Don't believe you will get the service for the same deal anywhere locally.
