Nails chipped after one day. Not happy I was made to pay £10 for shellac removal, when I never usually do at this venue. Not happy with nails as they are chipped and messy.
I was made to feel very welcome for my first waxing experience. My therapist was very good at making me feel at ease. I booked a Brazilian after doing some research as I only wanted a small strip of hair left. The Brazilian I had wasn't what I wanted as only a small amount of hair was taken off. I ended up paying to have a Hollywood as this was the only option to have the hair removed that I wanted. All in all a good experience.
Friendly staff, good value for the service
The overall treatment was satisfactory. The place was quiet neat and clean. The only problem which I faced was with the eyebrow service, the girl literally ruined my brows, very poor, she should have applied some powder before doing threading as my skin is sensitive so had some rashes and bruises under the brows. I hope they will keep this thing in mind, not to harm anybody's skin.
Booked up a spa pedicure with shellac toenails and shellac nails. Paid £70 for the treatment which is a tad pricey but thought I'd treat myself. There was no option to include a shellac removal of my old shellac so assumed this was included in the price (which is normally the case for most salons). Got to the salon and the staff were welcoming, was shown to a spa pedicure station and was then told I'd probably have to pay more to have my old shellac removed. Was a bit annoying that I'd have to pay more but decided it needed to be done so swallowed that. The pedicure was okay, nothing too luxury to be honest... I guess sitting in the chair makes it spa like quality? Anyways the painting was done really well and there was about 30-40 colours to pick from so can't complain there. I was then taken to a nail station and the therapist removed all of my old shellac and started with the manicure. She was quite rough when removing my cuticles and it hurt a fair bit. She painted my nails and they came out well although I've since noticed some patchy and missed areas. Once she had finished she then tells me she's given me a spa manicure rather than just a standard manicure with shellac polish.... This was not my fault and yet I was over charged again. To be honest I'm still struggling to understand which part was spa like as I was sat in a standard office style chair. Anywho By the time I left the salon the treatments had cost me £90 in total and I have honestly paid less for actual spa treatments in a spa environment. The staff spoke to eachother in their own language which didn't bother me too much but some of the other customers didn't appreciate it. Overall I'm really disappointed with the visit to this salon, I will not be returning and would advise everyone to make sure you get the actual price for your treatment before you go to the salon otherwise you end up being over charged after your treatments are complete.
