My mum and I had a haircut with Klodia who did my hair some time ago. I especially took my mum on this occassion as a treat to us both, to freshen up our hair before the start of term. I have only positive impressions of Klodia as a person and stylist. The experience was rather dampened by Carlos who seems to run the place. It was strange for a grown man and a stranger at that to refer to my mother as 'mummy' which even I don't do myself. Harmless perhaps for some, but I think as front of house you ought to find out your clients names,make the experience more personal and speak to them in a more respectful manner especially when they are older than you are. Very patronising pats on the back, very unwelcomed and totally unecessary.
I also emailed the salon a day or so prior to coming in, to see if it would be possible for us to have our cut at the same time but my email wasn't replied to. When I picked up on this at the salon, Carlos was quick to point out I booked the cheapest price (stylist) and thus we had Klodia do our hair one after the other. This would have been a perfect opportunity to upsell and suggest that a senior stylist is available for an additional fee which we would have considered but we weren't even offered the option despite salon being quiet on the Friday morning and the senior stylist being free on the salon floor,only attending to his own grooming. Not very client orientated at all. As I am a returning client I expected better but instead it was one of the most awkward and unpleasant experiences.Too bad, there are many other salons. Also if you think the price is cheap, change the price, don't cheapen the experience for your clients.
Klodia deserves 5* but the star ratings given are representative of the experience as a whole.

Great highlights and cut by Klodia! I moved to London 3 months ago and before that had used the same hairdresser for 25 years, so to say I was nervous was an understatement. The experience couldn’t have gone any better. Klodia was very helpful and listened to exactly what I wanted, and I left with a fabulous blow dry! Would definitely recommend.
