Ladies' Waxing
I went for a Dermalogica prescription facial last Monday and it was great! I came exactly at the time I booked for, and my facial started 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time because I had to fill in the welcoming form. I was a bit afraid that the treatment therefore would be rushed to fit in the one hour frame (this happened before in other salons) but Mira my therapist didn't rush anything.
The treatment room was nice, very clean and well heated (always great) the towels used were clean and soft and a nice relaxing background music was played.
Mira did a great job, and I really felt she paid good attention to my skin (using different masks for different parts of my skin for example) the massage was very nice and I could really relax. Also the fact that all Dermalogica products were used gave me a confident feeling, knowing only good products that I know were applied. Only one thing, maybe the different steps of the treatment could have been better explained (as in, I am applying this product now to clean your skin, I am going to start the extraction now etc) but since I am familiar with facials I knew what was coming so that didn't bother me. Overall it was a great experience and Mira also gave me good advise about what is good for my face, without trying to push me into buying products at all, something you see often in other salons.
Also, when I asked at the end of the treatment if she good of my eyebrows, something I didn't book, this was not a problem at all and the waxing was painless.
My skin was a bit red afterwards but that was expected as my skin is sensitive, but now a day later it looks great and my pores look smaller. I have a overall glow on my skin and it looks much healthier.
I will definitely come again for a facial and I will probably also try out other treatments that Amiika provides.
The little cup of Thai Lemongrass tea was a nice touch to append my great experience.
