Not bad - what you would expect for a beauty shop in a shopping centre. Not a spa experience, but did the job and reasonable prices
Pros:
- Very good massage as part of a facial
- A fair amount of attention paid to the neck, which you don't always get in a facial
Cons:
- Everything is a little worn & tatty - towels used for the facial had that musty old towel smell
- Very small treatment room, felt slightly claustrophobic! Bed is diagonal across the room - my feet where touching the bottom wall and my head was about a foot away from the other wall
- Staff tried to push a different facial (twice the price) as soon as I arrived and sulked off when I declined
- Deep cleanse part of the facial (steam, impurity extraction, etc) wasn't as long as I've had before and would have preferred longer on this as that's why I go for the deep cleanse facial rather than any others (aromatherapy, etc). Not the most relaxing but what I like because I work in London with a lot of pollution
- Not a con necessarily, but it's the first time I've never had to fill out a new customer form to run through medical history, skin type, etc. I don't think it's the most professional place but again, what you might expect for a shopping centre beauty place..
I booked a Mini Pedicure, on arrival I wrongly assumed the staff would no what I was booked in for. I told the lady I was booked in for a mini pedicure, she actually gave me a Spa Pedicure without my knowledge and asked me to pay at the end. If the staff actually talked to you then they would no instead you sit in silence and speak when spoken to. I explained I had a Wahanda voucher and I spent the next 10mins waiting whilst a picture was taken from my phone and sent to the manager and he then had to confirm that I had paid. As she had completed the wrong treatment I was then expected to pay the additional £10. Never Again. Nice relaxing treatment followed by stress and embarrassment. Badly organised
Terrible experience. If you value your time, money and/or nails do NOT go here. Everything at this venue come with an extra charge, the staff are rude and chat amongst themselves and even about their clients! My 45 minute treatment took 1 and 1/2 hour's and they are so quick to get you out the door after the paint on nails smudges immediately.
I will never go here again.
Treatment by Angel Beauty Parlour•Other Nail Extensions & Overlays
This was a nice treatment and was perfectly adequate as a therapeutic back massage. I very much enjoyed it and it was enjoyable nd soothing, Not sure what 'Angel Therapy' was though as it didn't seem any different to any other theraputic massage I've had previous, so can only assume it's a clever marketing tool. It was reasonably good value for money and about average to what you'd pay elsewhere. Only downside was the staff were prioritizing walk-in eyebrow threading customers over people like myself who had booked in, so my treatment ending up starting 15 minutes late! Also the staff seemed more inclined to do eyebrow and nail treatments than they did for massage and facials and repeatedly asked if I'd like one of those done as well. But overall this was a nice treatment and I'd probably use them again if a therapeutic massage was what I was after, but make sure you book well in advance as otherwise you have no chance!
