Good job Angel beauty parlour
3rd time unlucky. What a shambles. Got to my appointment at 2.50 for 3pm. Sat in waiting area for 15 minutes while staff spoke to each other in foreign language and kept looking at me. At 3.05 pm name was called but I was told no, stay there, not ready yet. At 3.10 we finally went to treatment room where I was asked could the therapist start on me and then be joined by another to get it done quicker as they didn't have a full hour ( I was booked in for a one hour hot stone massage). I asked exactly how long they intended my massage to last and I was told 35 minutes as they had to get a train to London, but if I wouldn't object to two therapists eventually working on me I would feel the benefit. I reluctantly agreed and was left to undress. The lady then came back in and asked how I wished to pay. I explained I had paid via the app. She then wanted proof of this. Luckily I had kept both emails on my phone and showed her the booking and PayPal confirmation. She still questioned where it said I had paid for treatment at their outlet. I asked her if she was stalling for time as by now it was getting on for 3.20. I think she realised I was annoyed so left me to undress.
When she returned the massage was very half hearted. The music switched off so we were in a silent room. About 15 mins later she had moved from my back and done one leg when another lady joined us. What then happened was a very random massage, half hearted by one, not following any pattern, and nice and firm by the other. At one stage I had a stone placed in my right hand after my arm was massaged but with the left arm I got just a quick rub and no stone. All very odd and definitely not relaxing. During the whole time they were both in the room they were whispering to each other in a foreign language. To me they couldn't wait to get it over with. I was dressed and was out by 3.50. If I hadn't paid up front I would probably have asked for a discount. Lesson learnt. It's a real shame as I have had two good experiences there but this has really put me off returning.

Really friendly lady, Barby, who did the massage. Checked regularly that I was ok and pressure was right. Started and finished on time. Felt totally relaxed. Room was very small and music quite low but lovely and warm. Would definitely go back.
Not bad - what you would expect for a beauty shop in a shopping centre. Not a spa experience, but did the job and reasonable prices
Pros:
- Very good massage as part of a facial
- A fair amount of attention paid to the neck, which you don't always get in a facial
Cons:
- Everything is a little worn & tatty - towels used for the facial had that musty old towel smell
- Very small treatment room, felt slightly claustrophobic! Bed is diagonal across the room - my feet where touching the bottom wall and my head was about a foot away from the other wall
- Staff tried to push a different facial (twice the price) as soon as I arrived and sulked off when I declined
- Deep cleanse part of the facial (steam, impurity extraction, etc) wasn't as long as I've had before and would have preferred longer on this as that's why I go for the deep cleanse facial rather than any others (aromatherapy, etc). Not the most relaxing but what I like because I work in London with a lot of pollution
- Not a con necessarily, but it's the first time I've never had to fill out a new customer form to run through medical history, skin type, etc. I don't think it's the most professional place but again, what you might expect for a shopping centre beauty place..
