I arrived at salon and there was no record of my appointment. There was apology and just told the system wasn't working.
I was then shown to a room which wasn't particularly clean and had to lie down on a plastic cover with only a small piece of paper. The woman returned and opened the door which opened straight out to the salon full view without even giving me as much a a towel to cover my modesty.
At this point I should have left but I decided against my better judgement to stay. The woman proceeded to wax me in what I can only describe as the most painful treatment I have ever encountered. I was left with an uneven wax and in actual pain.
The salon was easy to find and the staff were pleasant - the lady who completed my acrylics treatment really was lovely (but she happened to be helping out from another branch). Unfortunately my nails started chipping off after 2 days (which has never happened with an overlay before) which made it a disappointing manicure, I think this was due to a cheap acrylic rather than the technicians ability. The waxing was OK, but the therapist didn't stretch the skin which made it painful and very uncomfortable! Probably won't be returning.
I had an appointment at 11am but was asked to come back at 11:30 as the nail tech wasn't in yet. I was seen at 11:45 because on return at 11:30 the tech was doing someone else's infill. There seems to be no real consideration for appointments at this salon, but I'll still rate it 5-stars based on how well the tech did my nails and the convenience of location.
