Gel Nails Manicure
Had a relaxing time at Red Angel - was made very welcome and offered a drink. The nail technician did an excellent job. Everything in the salon was spotless and I was very comfortable.
Two things stopped me giving 5 stars across the board.
I had to pay an extra £5 to have gel removed - it took a few minutes with an emery board.
While I was there, a disgruntled customer had a shouting match with a hair stylist. Not the salon’s fault but I was quite disturbed by it.
Gel Nails Manicure
So I was visiting Manchester for one night and wanted to get my hair done in the morning. First of all, my stylist Roxi arrived at 10.15 for an appointment at 10, which was the bad start to an even worse experience. My hair was washed out 5 times, which dried it up completely. Treatments were applied without any comment about, what was done, except for once telling me a toner is applied. When I saw the result in the mirror, I was soo disappointed and started crying- The colour was to light,some strands were completely white. The result wasn't unified overall and different coloring. The roots were still clearly visible, as the foils were applied way to far.
When I complained, the receptionist and one stylist confirmed the bad result. As I was only in Manchester for one night, the offer of fixing this 3 hour long mess wasn't an option, as I didn't wanted to spend the whole Saturday in that salon. Also I was worried about the result- guess it would have been worse and would have distroyed by previously healthy hair even more.
Another stylist approached me and started mocking me and laughing in my face telling me I just wanted the money back and got the result I wanted.
That was the most disturbing thing and so not customer friendly or understanding. It was plain mean. Additionally, I'm not an english speaking native, but some of the stuff couldn't even understand what I was saying nor answer me decently. Overall, I want my money back for destroying my hair and leaving me mocked and humiliated.
