I went for a blow dry booked last minute on the day. When I arrived the ambiance wasn't great, the staff were all talking in a foreign language amongst themselves and kept going outside (I'm not really sure if they were smoking or why but two guys just kept going in and out) one of them must have had their phone connected to the music because it kept skipping every time they went out which didnt create the most relaxing environment. When someone came to wash my hair she washed it with cold water as she said she was worried about it being too hot (It was literally cold and I told her this but it stayed freezing cold) and then another woman came and took over. Neither of them said anything, told me or introduced themselves, I just realised someone had taken over which I found abrupt. Once she had washed my hair she pulled off the towel and let my soaking wet hair sit against my back for several minutes. My back was soaked and remained so for the rest of the evening which wasn't great and I was wearing suede so I was not too happy but didn't say anything as the damage was done.
When she started blow drying my hair after doing one curl the girl said 'I'm really sorry I have to be honest there's no point blow drying your hair because it's just going to fall out' and advised me it would be better to dry it all and curl it with tongues. Not what I booked but I was glad of her honesty. (I've had 100 blow drys and never been told that) Which she did and it looked nice for about 10 minutes but my roots were completely flat and it had no real volume.
I wanted to walk out and go home and do it myself but I couldn't as I had my lift waiting for me outside to go straight to dinner, having been in there an hour and for the sake of a £20 Blowdry I didn't want to make a fuss. But I wouldn't recommend it at all and wouldn't go back for any kind of treatment. I found the staff unprofessional, doing treatments on themselves whilst customers wait and generally not polite or professional.
