Since moving to London from Los Angeles I have been wanting to visit Aqualibria and I even put it in my scrapbook here on Wahanda some 5 years ago... I think I have always been secretely fascinated about it but I was trying to sum up the courage to undergo the colonic... Well the opportunity came after a trip to Turkey where I picked up some intestinal bug and my tummy was a washing machine for a few days. On my return I knew it was time to pay the dreaded hose a visit.
I went yesterday! What can I say... the place looks modern and flawless just like on the website virtual tour. I liked the glass and chrome decor, something that makes me feel I am in one of the greatest cities in the world and not in rural England - top marks for that. Velile the clinical director was amazing and seems to run the place like clockwork - I barely sat for a minute in the waiting room and someone walked out (a rather dapper handsome man in his 30s....) and I was in whisked into my consultation. Just like the online video explained, the clinical director had the paper from my online health questionnaire ready at hand and before I could sit down, she was pointing out all the flaws in my regular diet. Oh yes I have been sinning here in London over the last 5 years and although I definitely needed to wash out whatever I picked up in Turkey, I also had to make some corrections going forward. Anyway, after the consultation incorporated a mini lecture on what is where inside my tummy - reminiscent of my high school days - I was into the treatment room. The treatment rooms carry the same modern look of the rest of the place, they even have a TV screen with DVDs which I am told are reserved for the regular clients. So when I am laying down I feel somewhat like a First Class cabin flyer but I am having a colonic at the same time... The most important thing: the tube.... I cannot believe all the stories I have been making up in my head ! It really is pencil-thin like the website says... very painless and after I went past the initial sensation, it was a rather pleasant 45 minutes of washing my colon... Yes there is a transparent pipe where you can see what is coming out, which is somewhat gory but I guess it is useful for the therapist to look at what is coming out - in the name of science...
After the treatment I was given an electrolite drink and my homework, and I purchased some probiotics and a parasite cleanse product - I am determined not to have any Alien grow inside of me.... and I booked a Follow-Up session in 10 days time.... What can I say ? This morning I woke up and my skin was a lot clearer, I felt a ton better than I felt since getting back from Turkey, and my stomach is super flat with no bloat whatsover ! I will definitely be asking more about this on my next visit, but for now all I can say, if you are thinking about having a colonic, Aqualibria and Velile and her staff are absolutely professional and they make the whole process relaxed (even fun !) and comfortable.
I only chose to give 4 star on value because they are slightly more expensive than other clinics but I do have to acknowledge that they do put a lot of care into everything and they thoroughly deserve the fee. After all health is not an area where we want to cut corners. I hope this is helpful to everyone here on Wahanda !
