I like this spa as it's mostly quiet and relaxing with very few people, esp late evening. There were some guys this time shouting and jumping in, but one of the staff did speak to them and ask them to stop which seemed to resolve the problem.
This was a birthday treat for my mum and our first spa experience- and it definitely won't be our last! The staff at Aquilla Spa were really friendly and made us feel really comfortable during our experience. The pool was beautiful and we also had access to the gym. The jacuzzi was definitely our favourite part of the spa; the two hours we spent there left us feeling light and refreshed. It would be great if they included complimentary drinks or snacks next time :)
The staff were lovely and welcoming. The facilities were also great and I had a really relaxing time there. Definitely worth the money which is actually great value anyways. The spa is small but I went during a week day and at one point had the pool to myself which was nice so the size didn’t matter really. The only thing I’d say is that the robe and slippers are only given to you if you book a treatment as well. I booked for spa facilities only and the small print said I’d get a robe and slippers but when I arrived I was told it was only for people who had also paid for a treatment. Aside from that hiccup it was all great.
Afternoon lunch (or tea) for two and spa treatment was amazing. The massage only lasted 20 or 25min wish it was a little longer but the massuesse really did a great job and my facial was brilliant too, I came out glowing. My bf enjoyed the experience too especially the food. We had a filling lunch (next door) and after our treatment we used the other spa facilities. Perfect experience not to busy either, will definitely go back again.
