I hate to give a bad review but as I was refused a refund I feel I should record my experience. I chose this salon as it has lots of good reviews on Treatwell but found it really didn’t match up to that expectation. I asked for balayage and showed some photos of the kind of thing I wanted to achieve, the idea being that my roots would slowly blend to the ends of my hair which were very blonde. I ended up with stripy highlights that started where my roots finished and basically just looked like really bad roots (the same as before), and the lowlights put through the rest of the hair had a khaki green tinge because they had gone over bleach. I wasn’t happy at all and my hair looked nothing like balayage as it was all the same colour from the roots down with no graduation. I felt like I looked far worse than before. The cut was not good either as the stylist never did any layers or snipped the ends to perfect the finish, and it was just cut in a straight line. I wasn’t offered a toner which I would have appreciated and I felt like my hair wasn’t properly washed as there was no massaging of the scalp at all, and the removal of the foils was actually painful! I spoke to Treatwell about a refund but they said the salon would only offer me a free of charge appointment to try and fix it, which I did not want to risk taking in case they made it worse. I don’t think they should offer balayage if they can’t actually do it and wish they had told me that it was unlikely I would achieve the look I had asked for, rather than do something totally different. I’ve had to book another appointment elsewhere to get highlights put in and have ended up paying twice and my hair is still not perfect and still has a greenish tinge.
