I traveled to London last week to complete the last leg of my month long European backpacking trip, and stopped by Kobkun Thai Thearpy (sounds crazy I know, but It's always been a dream of mine!). I'd never had a massage before, but I thought it would make a perfect treat to mark the end of my trip. I looked up some different spa's online, but the Kobkun spa (Islington location) was the closest to where I was staying and offered massages around the price I was looking for. I booked an appointment right away, and was so excited. When I got to the spa I was really impressed. The place was very nice, and the massage therapist I had was super sweet. I only booked an hour for a Thai Massage, but it was totally worth it. It felt wonderful to get my tense muscles relaxed, and I was in heaven. Great first massage experience!
I went to Kobkun Thai Therapy in Islington, London, on a recent trip to London with my family. I have had quite a few Thai Massages before, and I can happily say that the one I got at Kobkun was one of the best. I went to their upper street branch and I had the best time. The facilities were clean, and cozy, and the staff was extremely friendly. The therapist who did my massage was really sweet, and had magic fingers! I was so relaxed afterward, and I just wanted to stay there all day. The price I paid for a 1 hour massage was also pretty reasonable, and I would love to go back for another massage the next time I travel to London!
I'm rather spoiled on good Thai massages, so I probably wouldn't rave about this visit. I prefer the one I had from their other place on Essex Rd.
Great therapist, but ambience could be better! Will be coming back for sure. The massage was very effective and my therapist was very well trained!
Nice place, friendly staff. The treatment room was comfortable, dimly lit with nice music. I'd never had a Thai massage before, so wasn't sure what to expect. For the most part, it involved heavy, concentrated pressure up and down my back, either side of my spine, which was at times a little uncomfortable. I did enjoy parts of the massage and it did relieve some stress but I was also a little worried, especially around the neck area. I was offered tea or water afterwards and asked how I'd enjoyed the massage. If you like Thai massage, I'd recommend going along but I'm not sure it's for me.
