If you want a wax you will probably have to touch up yourself at home right after your appointment then by all means come here. It was fine, but I did have to fix it a little bit after.
Also the woman who did my wax was too serious and like she didnt want to be there - I prefer someone who can have a chat and distract you from the fact that your vj is out lol.
Hollywood Waxing
Lady who did the treatment was very nice and quick. However some skin was stripped off and left certain areas irritated.
Brazilian Waxing
Eyebrow wax was good this time but the last time I came it was a bit dodgy. She asked me if I wanted her to even out my brows because she said they were wonky, but when she showed me what she meant it was actually because she had waxed the bottom of one too much which was making them wonky, not my brows...!
The Hollywood wax left me bleeding when I got home because not all of the wax was removed properly. She also missed some hairs, but went too far in other places which has left me having to use savlon for the last 2 days to soothe my stinging skin. I find it really unprofessional and odd that she wears gloves to do this wax and that you have to apply your own lotion at the end (which is watery and unmixed - make sure you shake before use...). This isn't the practice in any other salon I've ever been to and it made it feel more like a medical procedure than a wax.
The floor is always sticky from old spilt wax as well which you can feel on your feet and it's horrible. There's little to no cleanliness in this salon. The towel the therapist gave me was dirty and had someone else's wax on. Then I realised there are no clean/dirty towels in the room, and the therapist didn't swap any towels over outside the room before calling me in, she didn't appear to change them between me and the last customer and possibly not all day.
I guess this is what you get for paying such a cheap price. But a basic level of hygiene should be a standard in any salon, regardless of the price. The ability of this member of staff also needs to be reviewed as I found myself questioning if she was even qualified while she was waxing as it seemed very amateurish and not very professional at all. I wasn't impressed last time I had her, so this time I specifically booked it to be with a previous therapist, but I somehow ended up with this girl again and the other therapist was nowhere to be seen. No one mentioned the fact that I'd booked it with a different therapist than I was getting.
I wouldn't recommend this salon. I certainly won't be returning.
