I arrived at the venue to find the therapist on route. As a result I ended up drinking tea in the hotel bar whilst I waited for her to arrive. When she did arrive she came and found me and took me down to the spa. It was a small room but big enough for the facial. The ambience was great, low lighting, soothing music and a lovely aroma. The therapist made me feel relaxed from the off and the facial as well as the mini head and hand massages she gave me whilst the face mask was on were an added bonus!
Overall a great experience after a long day at work - I went home very relaxed.
I only saw the treatment room and the toilet whilst in there so therefore I cannot comment on the other facilities it offers.
The experience was great, however the 'deal' was misleading and we ended up paying for the 2nd massage! Not impressed with that, working should have been clearer on what to expect.
I was doing a choco massage there. Could not find the place immediately as there are two hotel under the same name standing close to each other, so I mixed them and was late for 15 mins. The massage was quick and "non-emotional". So the overall feeling was not like after a spa treatment but as if I did smth in a hurry. Though the design of the room was quite modern and nice.
The hotel was a little hard to find so I was a bit late, but the therapist was really cool about it and as she didn't have any appointments after me, gave me the full hour anyway. The facial was relaxing, especially the facial massage part. My skin felt soft afterwards but this was a more of a relaxing treat than a skin-changing session.
Nice for a bit of pampering.
First of all, make sure you go to the Park Plaza COUNTY HALL! I went to the other Park Plaza at Waterloo by mistake, which is literally next door (over the road). Then I went to County Hall, which is actually the Marriott. This was entirely my own fault for not checking first.
As it's a hotel spa, there was no-one to meet at the spa. I guess you may have to check in at the main reception desk, but a member of staff swiped me into the spa, which I think is actually just a treatment room in the health club. However, the treatment room had a fabulously relaxing atmosphere once the door is shut behind you. The therapist was very friendly, and completed my full 1 hour treatment even though I was a little late.
The Rose Facial itself was fantastic. I was never a real fan of facials, but the therapist has converted me. You get a hand and arm massage while the mask is setting in. The smells of the products used were lovely. Overall, it was a brilliant experience and I'm going straight back on to Wahanda to book in my next one!
