When I arrived there was no record of my booking, so luckily the lone therapist was free. So despite waiting for 20 mins the therapist was very welcoming and made me feel at ease. The treatment was excellent and I enjoyed it. The atmosphere was noisy as the room was not soundproof and beside a mixed gym so a little distracting. The voucher was good value but I would not have been happy spending my own hard earned pennies here.
The spa has a gym and one therapy room and one room for manicure and pedicures. It is very clean and well decorated. There is a sauna and steam room but the steam room was not on, not sure if it was not working or just not turned on. The therapy room was lovely and there were beautiful cotton sheets on the bed. The massage was good and very relaxing. I would definitely go back.
First Impressions: Place looked good until you attempt to use the facilities. We were booked for a 2 for 1 Massage & Spa use: When we arrived, we could not at first find a staff member anywhere. Then the masseuse came out & just barely greeted us, handed us forms & I went in 1st. My girlfriend went to check out the facilities whilst I had my hour massage. The massage: Very Light, very oily, it wasn't terrible but it wasn't good! The room was very cold! & the music was not relaxing with horrible beats & it was very loud. When I came out an hour later. My girlfriend had not left outside the room. She said there was only one changing room. Which were constantly in use by the gym users or people leaving there clothes in there basically reserving it. My girlfriends massage: She only was given 45mins she did not complain because she was too cold! She was very disappointed she said she was too cold, to enjoy it. She did not feel the massage in anyway relaxed her. She also felt it was very light, very oily! The therapist: She did not have a name tag, she did not tell us her name. She was like a robot, she barely spoke, barely smiled. It was like she was on autopilot. Over heard a manager giving a tour saying most of the gym staff were freelance, for example. Personal trainers so by the way the therapist was, I will assume she was either a college trainee or is also freelance! The facilities: There is only one private changing room + shower. Then there is the locker room with 5 single lockers which is small room with a lock to change, very weird layout! The sauna was small but nice, the steam room is tiny & looks dirty so we gave it a miss! Gym looked nice, but we didn't use it. After our disappointing treatments we just wanted to leave. Our overall experience was not good we would have been better off paying 80 for two massages in china town which actually feel like massages. If I was you, I would go elsewhere. Very disappointed! :(
Lovely relaxing eperience. Nice to use the steam rooom beforehand. The therapist was lovely and make me feel really welcome. Great facial too and I am sure its reduced puffieness around my eyes. Certainly great value for money.
When we arrived, the sauna wasn't on (although the steam room) so I had to go to the hotel reception to arrive for someone for maintenance to turn it on. The therapist was lovely however and the treatment itself good and relaxing.
