After having recently moved to London I I have been trying different places to find a good wax but this was by far one of the worst and I have been badly burnt before. I can handle pain as I've been having Hollywood waxes for over 10 years now basically a monthly basis to the point I didn't used to flinch when I got them, I found them almost relaxing. Before moving to London I quit waxing to try laser for six months which was great however, the cost of laser is so expensive in London I've opted to go back to waxing and I this experience alone has made me regret that decision.
She reused the spatula every time she applied the wax which means that everyone she waxes basically comes into contact with one another. A proper salon should use new spatulas for each individual application for hygiene purposes, this is industry standard.
I have never had someone apply such large patches of wax, all the way from the back right to the top at the front. This might make it a fast treatment (which I appreciate when getting a Hollywood wax) but it is not smart or comfortable at all (obviously this isn't a comfortable treatment but come on). She didn't apply pressure at all or make a lip at the top of the strip of hard wax which then meant when she peeled it back it took her a few goes to get a grip on the wax which is one of the most painful things. She also only went half way with her pulls rather than in one big go which from a pain standpoint is horrible. She also did nothing to alleviate the pain.
She was rude and did not care that she made me bleed. Even though it is only £25 I would not recommend it at all. I live a 15 minute walk away and I couldn't make the walk, I had to get the tube I was so sore.
I've had laser before so usually my hair doesn't grow back quickly but she did such a bad job that it is already growing back because a lot of the hairs were just ripped not properly pulled out.
I honestly would not recommend going here, at least not for a Hollywood wax.
If you have recommendations on where I can get a good Hollywood, please let me know.
