It was a first time I had my gel nails done at this salon , it didn't disappoint, the result
was excellent

Do not go to this salon for nails. Overall this experience was really bad. I went for a gel manicure and came away pretty annoyed.
- started 15 mins late - ok, wouldnt usually bother me but read on
- ambience non existent - shoved in the corner of reception area with other (visibly disgruntled) customers huffing and puffing about their appointments being late, shouting out about needing a fan as they couldnt breathe in their room or in the case of an agry old woman, wandering out in her underwear to borrow the phone
- girl who did my nails was friendly enough but i didn't really need to hear the story about where her life went wrong by moving to Scotland, and thought i made my disinterest in making polite conversation fairly clear with my one word answers but she proceeded to continue making small talk. Sorry to sound like a miserable old cow on this point but it was my bank holiday Sunday and I just wanted a bit of peace and a good beauty therapist should be able to listen to her customers needs and behave accordingly. Anyway this didn't bother me too much but read on...
- ... she was soooooooooo slow! baring in mind appointment should have taken around 45 mins, 45 mins in she was practically still filing my nails. at snail pace. ok, she did a thorough job but she should have stopped talking and concentrated on the job at hand.. and also kept her eye on the time for her next appoinment which was then strting 20 minutes late...and i started to worry I was going to be there all night.
- the worst part! I asked for black and got purple. the receptionist (not sure why she was advising on colours and she was clearly clueless) and technition seemed to think layering on layers of dark purple could make black - it didnt. they could have added 12 coats and it would still be dark purple. This really annoyed me as untimately the main part of getting your nails dont is the colour, and i didnt like it. There was just no care taken to make sure i got what i wanted. they didnt have black in stock and should have just said, i would have quite happily chosen something else. but the technitions lack of care and i'm afriad to say knowledge meant i was left with a colour i didnt ask for
- to make matters worse I was made to feel bad to saying something about this... the only offer i was made to rectify the siutuation was to soak off the colour, which i didnt want to do as i'd just sat there for an hour! my favourite part has to be when the technician started with the 2nd coat and then said out loud 'oh yeah this is a really strange colour" .. and then expected me to not complain! outrageous!
- "receptionist - sorry, but just hopeless in every way and lost her rag with old woman who was being rude to her.
Overall rubbish experience in every way and I wouldn't recommend visiting here at all - customers satisfaction just isn't a priority at this place.

The place is not the most pleasant place ever but it is well located. My waxing was fine and was not too expensive!

I had a manicure done at this venue.It was my first visit and it turned out to be a lovely experience. My nail technician was very pleasant and knowledgable. I will definitely be back
