Barbara combines an exquisite knowledge of the science of skin and skincare with the most relaxing and holistic approach. After a helpful skin analysis, I experienced the best facial that I've ever had and my skin feels glowing and rejuvenated. She also included a relaxing massage and reiki as well - which was just what I needed. I would totally recommend Barbara - extremely professional and absolutely lovely.
I had a galvanic facial at New Town Therapy, I would rate the whole experience very highly! The clinic itself is a lovely oasis of calm, a very relaxing environment. My therapist, Barbara was very friendly and approachable, she is also clearly an expert in her field. I have had numerous facials in various different spas and salons in the past, and I have to say I was very impressed with Barbara's knowledge of anatomy and physiology and of course, skincare.
Firstly, I had a skin diagnosis using the Observ machine. Wow! This was really interesting, I was able to see all of the inflammation, oil and pigmentation present in my skin...A horrifying site! I was talked through the various images of my skin, and the possible causes of my skin issues which I found very intriguing. This then enabled Barbara to tailor make my treatment specific to what my skin really needs.
The facial itself was very relaxing, I had an excellent shoulder and arm massage. Barbara used a galvanic current to treat my skin. Afterwards my skin felt baby soft, I had to tell myself to stop touching it! I was then given an amazing concoction of ingredients blended up by Barbara for me to use as my moisturiser, and I also purchased a Dermaviduals cleanser and toner too.
I decided to postpone writing this review until I had a chance to see how my skin reacted to the Dermaviduals aftercare products. Ten days later and my skin is already looking and feeling SO much better, so much so that my family and friends have actually noticed. I am delighted at the results and have booked in for my second treatment. I would happily recommend Barbara and New Town Therapy to anyone looking for a relaxing but results based facial!
