Very boutique, very #hipster feel. Shabby chic decor, interesting local prints on the walls, bright big windows to watch the world go by and home-made & up-cycled furniture. I arrived at 9:30am and was told by the sole hairdresser in the shop to sit in a chair at the back, while she continued gossiping with a lady and curling a little girl's hair. Nobody spoke to me for about 15 minutes, and I wasn't sure what was going on, until the manicurist came upstairs from a basement treatment room. I did consider leaving during the time I was sat like a lemon wondering what was going to happen. The shop was cold. I was not offered any refreshment while I waited. Amy, who did my nails was lovely and professional and did a good job on my manicure. My 15 min pedicure was fine, except for the fact I had my bare feet out in the shop for about 30mins while the varnish dried and my feet were cold. The pedicure spoiled when I put my socks on because the shop was so cold the varnish was not properly dried. If this was an absolute cut-price bargain I would accept the lack of comfort, however for the same price, many local shops provide a more comfortable experience, and have receptionists to make you feel welcome from the minute you enter the shop.
