My sister and I each booked a blow dry at the same time since Treatwell showed 2 stylists were available. However, when we got there, it was not the case. We had to go one after the other and we were late for an event at a result.
The stylist was great, friendly and experienced.
But the owner of the salon seems to be running it in a weird way. While the stylist was busy with my hair, she got a call from the owner and was told we'd only booked a blow dry and that didn't include the wash. I thought that was totally strange - how is it possible to have a blow dry without a wash? And the description of the treatments made it misleading. It was also the same price of other salons in the area that included the wash. We ended up paying the prices we had booked for, but that ruined the experience for us and we won't be back.
If it wasn't for the great service by the stylist, I would have rated it 1 star.

The salon is clean and the staff were friendly. I have been waxed many times before and this is was by far the worst experience. A session that should have taken 80 minutes took nearly 3 hours. I don’t know what went wrong but the wax felt to hot and too sticky and she struggled to remove it. As a result she had to repeat the same area multiple times. The wax ended up pulling off the top layer of skin in places leaving me blotchy (I had a tan). In the intimate area I was left red raw and had to apply Savlon for 3 days until it healed. In the end we agreed to finish before all the hair was removed. I have never had any problems at other salons and will most definitely not be returning to Beaute Beyond the Surface, and I would warn anyone else to avoid getting waxed there

Lovely friendly staff, clean and lovely looking shop. Alway make me feel welcome and sit there before and after treatment with a nice herbal tea and have a good chat with the staff and owner.
The Indian head massage is great and therapist is knows what she is doing and is really friendly.
