So happy with the acrylic set, the man doing them was very good. Slight confusion with pricing as I was told shellac/gels would be same price as normal polish when actually its £10 more, perhaps staff should be more well informed on pricing. Other than that no complaints.
Hard Gel Extensions & Overlays
Salon was clean and quiet, and the lady that did my waxing was polite and chatty.
When I was shown into the treatment room and told to remove my clothing and lie on the bed there was no towel provided to cover myself with - I found one in a pile on the shelf and covered myself so when the door opened again I wasn't exposed to the rest of the salon! This was met with confusion from the lady who did the waxing, who told me to take it off straight away.
As I hadn't had a wax in a long time the hair was very long, and after being gently scolded by another beautician for trimming it myself (and doing it too short) I always leave it and let the beautician trim it first. As I had booked a Hollywood the treatment time had allowed for 30 minutes which is more than enough time.
The beautician here started waxing straight away on the long hair which hurt a great deal, and I've had many waxes in my time. Because the hair was so long the wax stuck everything together and she seemed to get quite frustrated.
I still had a lot of wax down there when I went home, and it was very patchy. It seemed like she was rushing towards the end even though I had arrived early and had 30 minutes for the treatment.
The salon itself was very clean and quiet, and it's a really good central location.
Hollywood Waxing
Manicure was fine, fairly standard and they had quite a good range of colours. Sadly it started 40 minutes late, which meant there was no time for the pedicure and I had to get a refund through Treatwell.
