My girlfriend surprised me with a mani-padi voucher at Beauty and Melody for my Birthday. First I didn't get the whole thing, I thought she really didn't know me well to get me something like this. On the top of that the voucher was originally for gel manicure and pedicure, which I believe a kind of nail varnish or something. She was teasing me of course , but she said when she rang the salon to get more information the lady at the reception said I could get the luxury mani-pedi instead. I was not so keen on the whole thing , but I didn't want to hurt her feelings, so I said yes. When we arrived the salon seemed very luxurious and the ladies at the reception were very nice as well. We were offered coffee and tea. First I was glad I said yes, but then when I realised the luxury pedicure was actually a "chocolate pedicure" I wasn't so sure. I felt very uncomfortable to picture myself siting in the display with chocolate wrap on me, for obvious reasons. Luckily the salon has a private pedicure area which is very relaxing and gives the perfect privacy. The whole experience was really nice, and relaxing. The chocolate felt an smelled really good, and the therapist Sarah was lovely. Overall it was a really nice and relaxing experience, and extra good points for the private area. I would highly recommend the salon for men as well.
After a disastrous experience at Beauty and Melody, I was reluctant to return, and I must admit I had a little difficulty booking but when I finally arrived for my appointment it was all fine.
The colourist I had was really good and I was really happy with the colour. I also think B&M offers good value for money generally, especially with the Wahanda offers. My only small criticism is that, because they have some female clients who have their hair done privately, whilst their hair is being washed, a male stylist (as mine was) cannot come through to the hair washing area. As a result, I had to wait longer than the set amount of time for my colour to be washed off (which was fine in the end but I was concerned it might have been on too long).
I really loved the manicurist who did my nails. She was friendly and professional and did a great job. The spa/salon itself is quite chaotic and messy. The staff at the front desk didn't seem to know what was going on and their area was really cluttered. They didn't give off a welcoming, upscale salon vibe and were a bit rude. There were also lots of dirty cups and glasses on the table in the waiting area. I would probably come again to get my nails done, but definitely wouldn't get much else done in the salon due to the cleanliness issues.

All round great experience. Lovely salon, pedicurist was so lovely, really attentive. Pedicure itself was so relaxing and my feet got the pick me up they needed! Would definitely go again and recommend to others.
