I went there once for a manicure. The place is well located, close to Oxford Street and it is quite smart with an open glass frontage. The treatment itself was good and well priced (but not cheap), quite good value actually.
I had a great experience at Puro though I didn't go on a MobDeal... I got a free blow dry by a trainee stylist that I found through an advertisement. The student had just started training on blow dry styles, so was a little unsure about what to do at times (though with practice she'll be great as her technique is good), but Marcus- her instructor (the professional stylist) - was absolutely brilliant. I'd pay for the blow-dry if he did it. I learned a lot just by listening to him teach, and the stylized finish at the end was fantastic- exactly what I wanted (classic blow- dry) and I give the credit to the trainee as much as to Marcus overseeing it.
The salon itself is very nice and clean, and the staff were all very pleasant when I was there. Marcus even offered me coffee, which was great since some of the salons I've been to either as freebies or to get something done cheaply- don't offer these little things!
I can't comment on the other treatments as I didn't have them, but I definitely would consider going to Puro again for hair styling.
Salon was very central but felt like a retreat from the hustle & bustle of the west end. Staff were v friendly. I went with a friend so we nattered the whole time but our therapist was sweet and gave us both lovely manicures. Quite a quiet salon so not great atmosphere but for me it was perfect... I would return especially as its so conveniently located.
The manicure was my first ever so i did not know what to expect. The Therapist was lovely and very helpful, she advised me to go for a much bolder polish than i would have chosen and i was really pleased with it. It was uncomfortable having my nails filed down but they looked beautiful for 2 weeks and it was worth it.
This was my first wahanda deal voucher and I was wondering what the catch was.... a 45 minute Aveda manicure for £10??? Well, there was no catch. I made my appointment close to the end of the 3 months and unfortunately it was cancelled due to the therapist being ill, however the salon did give me a further 2 weeks in which to book in which was fine. The salon is in a very central location and was very clean, light and airy. The manicure itself was great - exactly what you would usually pay £35 for. The therapist was lovely and gave me some good advice on improving the condition of my nails generally, in fact the manicure lasted an hour rather than the 45 minutes I had paid for! I had wondered if with visiting with a wahanda voucer you would be given a little less priority than a full paying customer but that was not at all the case. I would thoroughly recommend both this salon and wahanda in general - I have booked a further 2 deals! Thanks for making these treats affordable!
