This was my very first manicure/pedicure treatment and it was really great. The venue itself was not brilliant, as I believe Rosana and her team are using it temporarily, but it sufficed. It was downstairs in a hair salon in a slightly small and cramped room, and with two customers in at the same time it did get very warm. Having said that Rosana is very knowledgeable and both she and her colleague provided a really great service. Not only were they both very warm and talkative but I was even offered some of Rosana's own chocolate bar! Both she and her colleague worked on my nails and toes simultaneously in order to get everything done in the time; I was very impressed with how they looked. The shaping of my nails was spot on, though we did have a slight issue with my hands which made them a little bit rough but it was resolved within the time. Previous reviewers are right in that VSB doesn't have the largest range of shellac colours (no glitter!) but that might not be a bad thing unless you're looking for a very particular shade. The other lady getting her nails done with Rosana was a regular customer, and they had a great rapport; it did make me think it would be worthwhile going back. So I hope to do that soon.
I was very worried to go to a beauty salon in London because I had never been before and was afraid people would not understand what I was looking for since I am French. I booked at Victoria Secret Beauty because of an ad in the tube and because it was close from my work. The lady who did my waxing treatment happened to be very dynamic, quick and efficient. Even though I noticed that hairs were not perfectly removed when I came back home (but maybe they were too short). What I didn't appreciate is the lady's little comments. She knew I was a bit uncomfortable and nervous and kept saying "you are sweating so your hairs are not coming off properly", "your hairs are strong". You don't really want to hear that when you have paid 50 pounds. Overall it was alright, a bit expensive, a bit painful but I guess this is how it is in London.
