I loved this place, the people were friendly and really inviting. I love th cpur that the helped me chose for my nails and they look great! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants their nails done!
I had a pedicure treatment booked at this beautician and have to say I was sorely disappointed.
Let me start off by saying that Victoria Secret Nails is actually Victoria Street Nails and the map showing the location is incorrect. I suggest you therefore look for Victoria Street Nails and should find it easily. I selected my treatment after speaking to a beautician about the differences in their pedicures on the phone. I had some hardened skin built up on my heels and wanted to get rid of this which was my main reason for going to a pedicure. Unfortunately this beautician does not work with a metal blade which means I left with the same amount of hardened skin I entered with albeit a little smoother. The beauticians who worked on my feet only did so for about 15 minutes and then took half an hour to apply FIVE coats of nail polish (Base coat, 2 coats of nail varnish, 1 top coat and 1 fast dry top coat). This seemed a little excessive to me. I had not brought flip flops with me on this rainy London day and therefore had to wait since seeing how so many coats were applied (and the fast dry coat was not so fast at all) the paint on my toes was still wet. After 15 minutes of waiting (let me say that there is only two options for waiting in the treatment room while someone else is being treated or in the hallway) the beautician tested my nails, wrapped them and said I was free to go.
However, by the time I had come home, the paint of my big toe had completely been misplaced and most of it collated around the nailbed. The paint of some of the other toes had also come off. I have since tried to remove the ruined nail varnish – unsuccessfully. I guess who ever I go to have a better pedicure will need to remove the paint for me.
Moreover, whilst I was there I was offered to buy flip flops. The cost of this was £26 for flip flops that are probably worth £2. The products used did not seem of very high quality either.
I contacted the beautician afterwards to voice my concerns but it was made very clear to me that the beautician saw no fault in the service provided and instead blamed me for not bringing flip flops.
If you want to have a treatment there be warned. You can only go there to have your toes painted, not if you have any issues that actually require proper treatment. Also bring flip flops or A LOT of time to wait.
Fantastic experience at this cosy little salon - a bit tricky to find at first but then a welcome and relaxing atmosphere when you reach the salon - tucked away above the busy streets of Victoria. Rosana and Chris were very friendly and welcoming, and excellent at manicuring my nails. I got some great advice about my cuticles and I absolutely love my manicure - would definitely visit again and recommend to my friends.
Cannot fault the service, the girls are all lovely. So kind to me with my million heavy bags, helping me up the stairs. The treatment was lovely - slightly longer than I expected but I think that's because we kept chatting. The nails themselves were perfect and lasted well over two weeks.
What a lovely salon. So friendly. Great service. Lovely cup of tea and chat while being beautified. Very happy with the results - lasted two and a half weeks without a chip! Brilliant.
