Good value
Very nice, clean and simple. Staff were so friendly. Happy there was parking outside for free.
I booked an appointment and received a text message about 5 minutes later from the salon saying that unfortunately they had not updated their diary correctly and I would not be able to have an appointment at that time. I replied asking about an appointment for the next day and was told they would give me an answer in 30 minutes. I waited over an hour and a half for confirmation. When I did get to the salon the next day and gave my name and appointment time, I was quite rudely told “you’re 15 minutes late”. When I showed the text message I had received asking me to come at that time, the employee said “don’t worry about it then” without any apology. I had booked for shellac removal and reapplication. The employee applied the acetone and foil and let it soak for about 5 minutes before attempting removal by scraping my nails with a metal tool. When I commented on this not being good for the nail, she dismissed me. When I persisted that when removed correctly shellac should be wiped off after being left to soak for an appropriate amount of time, she told me “but that would take ages”. I ended up having the removal but not having any polish reapplied because my nails looked far too damaged to have another coat applied. Overall, there was poor communication in booking my appointment and poor practice when I attended the appointment. I would not book at this salon again.
I’ve been to this salon several times and will return.
Sara who did my waxing was very nice and thorough. The problem came when we did not agree on what a Brazilian wax is: 95% of salons in London call a Brazilian everything off except the strip. This salon calls that a Hollywood. I was offered hot wax or strip wax, but was not told of the price difference at this point. So once the wax was on she told me it would be an extra £15 for the change in the service, but it was too late for me to change my mind at this point!! The salon needs to be clearer about what it is offering in its description to guide people better when booking.
