Just trawled the internet for a local salon to get a pedicure. The best thing about the experience was having Shannon do my feet. She seemed young but more experienced than her years seem to suggest and competent at what she did. The standard of the treatment was very good so much so that I am considering another treatment there but would definitely book with Shannon
I feel awful writing this as I hate to leave bad reviews, but I’m actually a bit upset by the treatment I just received so felt I should post my experience. I pre-paid for a hot wax brazilian wax through Treatwell (£32), but received a really brutal strip wax instead (£25 at this place). I did mention this when she first started doing it - that this is not what I thought or normally had when it was a hot wax at my regular salon - her response was just ‘oh right’. Guessing that maybe they were just ignorant and don’t know what hot wax treatments are meant to actually be like I let her carry on knowing that this was the last opportunity I had for a wax before my holiday that day and just got a much smaller amount waxed than I would normally. I walked out and was clearly a bit confused about what had happened and stood outside for a while - by which point the owner came up to me to ask if I was ok and said she told the beautician to use strip wax because the hot wax took too long to heat up (they were late for my appointment by 15 mins - as they said the wax needed to heat up, which is fine..), but if she knew it was not what I PRE-PAID for why was I (a) not asked if I wanted to wait for the hot wax to be ready (b) offered a refund for the cost of the difference. They honestly let me leave having paid more in advance for a service that I didn’t get and literally no-one apologised when I said I wasn’t really happy about it - they just said ‘oh, just thought I’d check you were ok’. I am going back when I return from holiday to complain in person or might call them from the train, but imagine it will fall on deaf ears again.

The place was nice and friendly. However, I found the sort of wax they used quite harsh- My skin is still healing days later..I got Hollywood but a few spots were missed unfortunately. I would probably go again for a high bikini but not Hollywood.

I had microblading with Charlie and I cannot believe how amazing my brows are now. I didn't even know about semi-perm brows until I visited Beauty Plus for another treatment. I would recommend them to anyone and Charlie, the girl who does them, is so nice, polite and professional. She reassured me the whole time and I got the exact look I asked for and the treatment wasn't uncomfortable at all. PERFECT BROWS all day every day, I love them!
