I booked an appointment for 11:40 here, I arrived and I was told I could not have my wax because they did not know about my appointment and the beautician was out of the salon so no one could see me.
The lady then arranged for me to go to another waxing place called “Paint Beauty Salon” up the road at 1pm.
I arrived and the salon was pretty run down, not especially clean and extremely hot due to it being on a summers day. Although this was my first wax since lockdown, I did expect it to be a bit more uncomfortable but the lady kept going over and over the same spots, using a combination of hot and strip wax. When I checked the result, I found that it wasn’t very thorough and there were so many hairs left that could have been caught by the wax. A lot of wax was also left on my skin and there wasn’t any wax removal cream to get it off.
It was such a painful and awful experience I just wanted to leave! I will not be returned to either waxing salons!

Great gel manicure which has lasted ages. Felt very safe with the covid safe measures they’ve put in place in the salon and it still had a friendly and warm atmosphere. Definitely will be my new go to nail place in South Manchester.
