I arrived 5 minutes early (before my 2 p.m. appointment) and was told I was not booked in. The lady on reception told me never to book with Treatwell and to phone them direct for times and prices as they don’t get informed by Treatwell of last minute bookings quick enough.
There was then a discussion amongst the staff about whether they could fit me in.
One of my treatments was meant to last one hour (facial) and the other half an hour (body scrub). A lady who was sat in the reception area having her nails done said she would do my facial but not scrub as she had to be out by 3 p.m.
At about 2.05 p.m. the lady who had been having her nails done took me into a treatment room. The room wasn’t set up and I had to wait in there for another 5 minutes whilst she found what she needed - a sheet on paper to cover the stained blanket on the bed.
She then proceeded to do both my facial and body scrub at the same time - applying the scrub whilst waiting for masks to dry. She kept forgetting where she had applied the scrub and what she had washed off. When I was asked to turn over, the whole of the paper covering had stuck to me and I looked like a mummy. I felt uncomfortable and sticky. Not relaxing at all.
The ambient music was being played through her phone which kept stopping. The phone rang several times and she then stopped my treatment to text someone. She would also leave the room intermittently and leave me on the bed naked from my head to my waist. She didn’t announce herself when coming back in the room. In fact, several times her colleagues knocked on the door and she spoke to them with the door half open whilst I was in various states on nudity on the treatment bed.
When the treatments were finished, I checked the time on my phone and it was 2.50 p.m. I paid £80 for 40 minutes. Not value for money. At least the therapist was able to leave at 3 p.m. like she had originally said.
I left feeling so sticky with product all over my body that I had to come home and have a shower straight away.
NEVER AGAIN. I will avoid BeautyWorks at all costs.
Had to wait an hour extra for my appointment as the person before me overran. In hindsight I should of just left, that’s too long to wait!!
Eyelashes looked good but I had to get infills one week after this treatment. The lashes kept dropping off, not attached to my real lashes. Perhaps it was the type of lashes, but they were crunchy and clumpy, I went to a different salon and the quality of lashes and glue, in my opinion was much better in comparison and have lasted longer and looks more natural.
The staff here though are very nice, but the quality of lashes wasn’t as good as other places I’ve been to.
