I’ve come here before for a facial and massage and rated it 5 stars as it was an amazing relaxing experience. Today was completely different ... as I came in (early) the lady who was doing my massage and facial walked me down and asked why I was late. I corrected her and she apologised and said she got me confused with a previous client. This and the fact that the music wasn’t working when I came in etc wasn’t much of an issue at all however thereafter things went downhill. She seemed unorganised and would do something to one arm and something slightly different to the other ...she put damp sponges on my mask despite it not drying and I had to stop her ... after which waiting for it to dry seemed pointless. The extractions were only done around my nose and not around my chin where I needed it too. Whilst she was still steaming my forehead she asked me to look at one of the extraction bits that came out but I couldn’t as if I opened my eye the steam would’ve gone in (I just said ok and went along with the treatment as I didn’t want to argue /have a confrontation). The massage wasn’t anything special like it was last time and felt rushed/ aggressive at some points when my head was being shaken... and not enough pressure at other times e.g on my forehead. The way she spoke seemed confrontational so when she asked are you happy with this massage whilst doing it I felt uncomfortable and said ‘it’s ok’ to which she was silent. The whole experience was uncomfortable and not relaxing. When I had the face mask on I could hear her right behind me opening containers and what sound like running something on her skin. I couldn’t see what she was doing as my eyes were closed due to the mask but the sounds were distracting me from the relaxing facial experience.
Nevertheless I still won’t rule the place out and would like to revisit should I get a different therapist in future. I’m sure I had asked for the same one via treatwell but am not sure what happened.
