I have visited this salon a couple of times and had a pleasant experience. The attention to detail when painting my nails was superb and very neatly done. However, my nails only seem to last a week at best before the shellac began to peel off. On one visit it actually began to come off the next day... in all fairness to the salon one of the staff members did say that if it began to come off just to go back in and they would fix it, however I didnt have the time. :)
I also had my eyebrows threaded for the first time here. OUCH!! It was done very professionally and I thought they looked great after.
Sometimes the staff seem a bit abrupt but generally a nice experience.
Was greeted as I came in by a very polite lady. The same lady did my treatment. Facial was thorough, skin feel fresh. the therapeutic message was a little tough, the beauty therapist did ask but I was just to shy to say! All in all was a lovely experience and sent me into a dream like state :)
I have been there a couple of times in last two years as gel nails were all done with good quality. I was told this voucher was only for first time guests although I did check it before the order and found no such condition on the wahanda website.
I went to Bella Spa today and actually made a profile just so I could comment. It's my 3rd time going and the 1st time I've had waxing here. Angela (the owner) did my wax and was incredible, much less painful than it normally is!
Very reasonably priced and the best find I've had such I moved to Manchester. The girls are lovely and always do their best to flexibly accommodate appointments, even if they're at short notice. Highly recommend it!
The overall result was good and the Spanish girl who did my nails was very sweet and professional at the same time.
But the owner (or manager?) of the Bella Spa made me feel very uncomfortable when I arrived at the salon, as the first question she asked me was whether I had paid in advance! I told her that I paid online via wahanda and that I had a £10 discount and then she asked me, a bit frustrated, where I got the discount from and why. And then we spent 10 minutes discussing about the 'basic' and 'premium' nail polishes.. I was asked many times whether I'd like to upgrade to the premium treatment (at an extra cost of course!) and when I told her that they should mention in their online service description that there's a difference between basic & premium services, she started over trying to explain me the difference between the two.. As I had booked the 'Professional Acrylic Nails' treatment, I wasn't expecting the owner of the salon herself to tell me that 'it's not gonna last long' and that I should upgrade to the more premium treatment!
Overall I am not going back as the owner of the place had not a good attitude, made me feel uncomfortable, was hard selling and didn't seem to care a lot about her customer (I was the only customer in the salon by the way).
