I don't like to like bad reviews but I was majorly disappointed with the wax I received. I have a therapist I isually go to but I wasn't in the area and desperately needed a wax. I booked and paid for a Hollywood hot wax online via wahanda. I deliberately choose this salon as they said they do hot wax (many others on the area only off strip wax). When I arrived I double checked that hot wax would be used and I was told by the therapist that it would be. I was led into a very small room and noticed the bed was against the wall, I thought this was odd as I didn't know how the therapist would walk around me. (I've been having waxes for 5 years and the therapist always moves around to do each side). Anyway, I got undressed and noticed the towel I was given to cover myself with had stains and several small black hairs on it. The therapist (who despite the terrible wax is very sweet woman) came in and proceeded with the wax. She applied hot wax twice before saying the wax wasn't picking up the hairs so she would have to use strip wax. I speficially asked for hot wax as I am sensitive to strip wax and suffer from in grown hairs, I've been hot wax for years and this has never been a problem. She continued to use strip wax and seemed to be applying it randomly, there wasn't any order or logical to the wax and like another review mentioned, the therapist didn't pull my skin taut when pulling the wax off. Throughout the wax the therapist asked if I was comfortable or if the wax was too hot. She was thoughtful and wanted to please but the wax was awful. I'm used to having a few stray hairs left over but I've never had a wax and had so much hair left! The therapist didn't do inside (if you know what I mean) but that because I could barely open my legs with them against the wall. I couldn't believe how much hair was left when I got home! The only part that is wax is the public bone area. I bought some veet wax strip to finish off the job that evening but I couldnt use them as I was so sore. I obviously wouldn't go back.
I had a Hollywood wax and half leg wax and have awarded it 5 stars. It was so good to have tea tree wax applied for the Hollywood which means it doesn't rip the skin and was less painful. I'm very happy with the result so will definitely be a regular here now, thank you!

I have been getting waxed for the past 10 years and this was one of the worst waxes I've ever had. I have a really good pain tolerance, I've never made a sound in a wax before. I was actually yelping in pain. I don't think the therapist had had any sort of training (she didn't even hold the skin taut!) When she said she was done and 'Is it Ok?' I asked her if she was joking as there was huge patches missed. she had 'forgotten' to go back to those areas apparently. When I got home I noticed loads more patches completely missed. Yes its slightly cheaper than average (£27) but NOT worth it at all. It's a shame as the lady was actually nice and it's super close to my house, if the service was better I would have been a regular.
Great service as always - staff are lovely and always have time for a chat. Waxing is quick and great results. Excellent value for money.
