I arrived 15 mins early for my acupuncture & was abruptly told "We're busy, come back after 11.30". Not a great start. I wanted acupuncture to support my on-going IVF treatment & help improve fertility. The male Doctor doing the treatment asked me some very personal questions in the waiting area. He then diagnosed why I was failing to fall pregnant in 5 minutes and tried to sell me the cure; a massage after the acupuncture & Chinese medicine. I felt pressured to have more, so had the massage as well. Inserting the acupuncture needles took 5 minutes. I was then left in a room to relax for 30 mins. It was difficult to relax with all the noise just outside my door. The massage was vigorous, and rather startlingly he undid my bra & pushed my knickers down below my bottom mid-massage. I'm not a shy person but this went a bit too far for even me, especially when he said "you're body's so tender" at the same time! I think he meant 'tense'...!
Afterwards I got another hard sell, he pushed me to buy 5 acupuncture sessions in advance to 'save money'. I politely declined.
A little difficult to locate as it isn't clearly sign posted but once inside (in basement of a hair dressers - as a separate business) the room was very calming and the overall experience very relaxing.
