The ladies working there were friendly, but kept talking amongst themselves while serving customers. The salon doesn’t seem clean enough to be providing beauty treatments. I’ve not had any facial treatments done but they may be good at that. My shellac nails though were absolutely awful, I had the polish on my skin and it didn’t look nice at all. It’s fairly dark in there so it’s hard to tell until you leave and see what your nails look like. When prepping the nails the lady hurt my finger so much it kept bleeding for a few days. I would definitely not go back for nails.
My face has been severely hurt from my eyebrow wax. I have been coming to this store for years and the last few times I have been left with scans around my eyes. I have not complained but this time it is so severe that I have to ask for my money back and I will not be returning. I have large scabs all around both eyes. I had my eyebrows done specifically for a busy weekend of events and was so embarrassed by by eyes it has completely ruined my weekend and is embarrassing at work too.
I booked an appointment online for 11am. When I arrived, I was told that the lady doing the treatment didn't start work until 11am so it might be a few minutes late. After 20 minutes, I asked if there was a problem and do they need to cancel, I was told no and after a further 5 minutes, I was taken into the beauty room.
During the 25 minute wait, I was not updated on what the issue was but clearly there was a problem as one of the girls got really upset and started shouting at another girl across the shop floor. This went on for about 15 minutes with various other staff members getting involved.
The treatment room didn't feel particularly clean, it could do with a fresh coat of pain and a good scrub. When I was led into the room, I wasn't told what to do, the door was just shut behind me.
The treatment was OK to start with although the back massage felt more like relaxing strokes than a massage but then i could have asked for more pressure. The head massage felt uncomfortable rather than relaxing, with my head being scrubbed so hard, it was bordering on uncomfortable but I was most let down by the facial. There was no explaining the products being put on me, the beautician took a short phone call whilst massaging a product into my face and when it came to the final product, which required a 15 minute wait to harden, the beautician sat on a chair next to me and played on her phone.
I had originally booked the £115 Hero treatment with hot stones. There were no hot stones during the treatment and only afterwards was I told that they hadn't had time to get hot enough. I should have been told at the start. I was refunded £25 for not having the hot stones but I was only given a voucher which I really don't feel like using after this experience.
Not a good shellac manicure, and bad value for money. My cuticles were left in a mess (they were ripped rather than trimmed) and the paint job was shabby, with the paint left on my skin and over my torn (and bleeding) cuticles. And it started chipping 3 days later! £35 is a lot of money for what appears to be a cheap job. The salon was also cold and predominantly empty. When a previous customer came in to complain about her chipped nails from a previous appointment she was told they were too busy to see her, despite having no appointments for the 4 staff in the next hour to follow, bar a couple of eyebrow thread walk-ins.
Shame because the beautician was a sweet lady but I’ve no idea why that salon would have return custom... I won’t return, it’s not money well spent.
Nails weren’t fully painted, chips down the sides, bubbles of paint on two fingers, took an hour as I’m not sure the lady had ever done nails before, also kept forgetting to turn the lamp on. I got them done two days ago and already two nails are badly chipped and peeling
