Hello! My name's Afonso. I'm a spa & beauty therapist. I'm of Portuguese origin and I specialise in Holistic wellbeing. My journey as a therapist began in 2013 with my first course in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage. My deep passion for the healing arts finally came to manifest through my infatuation with the powers of Ayurvedic medicine. As a long standing yoga practitioner, my main goal was to help others find their path, their unique secret beauty. I had several work experiences and through them I gained even more knowledge and experience in different techniques such as Shiatsu, Thai Yoga, Tui Na, Meditation which then led me to pursue further studies in Classical Chinese Medicine massage and enroll in Spa Business Management degree back in Portugal. My career choice took me to places I could have never dreamt of... I decided to experience work abroad and accepted the challenge of moving to Austria, to work in a ski resort in the Alpes. As of 2020, and due to the pandemic, I faced having again to make life changing choices. I came to the UK as a mental health support worker and in 2021 I moved to London where I slowly but steadily settled and established myself as a spa therapist. Life made Bilkiss' path and mine cross and we established a very strong working relationship. Our paths crossed yet again and I cannot wait to collaborate with her again from her very prestigious venue that she ever so enliveningly built. My regular customers describe me as caring, attentive and precise. I can speak 7 languages ( Portuguese, English Spanish, French, German and understand Mandarin Chinese and Hindi)

My name is Bilkiss Nahar. I am a dedicated freelancer Spa and Beauty therapist with over 12 years of experience in the industry. I obtained my certification from Tower Hamlet College in the UK in 2012. After having my son, I was out of work, and decided to further my education by completing diplomas in Level 2&3 in Beauty and Spa Therapy. By completing this qualification, I was able to start up as a freelance therapist, which enabled me to juggle family life and a career. I have also worked with different Spas and salons alongside with working as a freelancer. I have been trained by Elemis and Temple spa brand and I specialise in therapeutic massage, facials and body treatments. My passion for helping others achieve optimal wellness and keen understanding of the human body made me an expert therapist. I am committed to providing personalised care to each client, tailoring my treatments to address specific concerns and promote relaxation and healing.

Bilkiss began their career in the spa and beauty industry in their mid-30s. The spa and beauty industry had always been a keen interest of theirs, therefore taking it up as a career always felt like a hobby rather than a normal job. It has helped them develop themselves not only career-wise but also physically and emotionally. They feel that the rewards are amazing; knowing that they have truly made a difference in the way a person feels both physically and mentally.
