Great location, staff and service. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff and I was really pleased with my treatments. Will definitely be back to Body Essentials for treatments in the future.
Ladies' Waxing
I visited during office hours (in order to get the great highlight/cut deal) and they were really quick and efficient. I wasn't kept waiting at all, which is in contrast to previous experiences at different salons where I have sometimes waited 4 hours for the whole process to be over. Highlights are great and just what I asked for. Friendly staff too. Would definitely recommend.
Hair Colouring
I had to cancel my initial appointment, and they didn´t put any problem at all.
When I finally went to have my facial (it was my first), I found the staff very friendly. They asked me to wait a few minutes and then I went into a smallish and not particularly well decorated room. My therapist understood that I wanted to relax, so she explained what she was going to do, so I could chill out. She also asked if I had any particular concern.
Apart from my facial, I also got a bit of a massage, which was a bonus.
The treatment itself: I don´t think It worked as I was expecting (but then, I was expecting a magic wand that would erase all traces of adult acne around my mouth)
Will I have it done again? Yes for facials, but I might try somewhere else, for comparison purposes!
Classic Facials
The venue was nice, spacious and bright, and relatively easy to find (tucked away behind Liverpool Street). The deal was GBP55 for a full head of highlights - bearing in mind that a blow dry was not included and cost an additional GBP25.
The staff was lovely, and specifically my colourist. Having said that, she was young, and had only 1 year's experience (aquired in that salon). She therefore needed advice from the manager as to how to deal with my admittedly patchy hair. But this doesn't detract on the fact that she was very friendly and her blowdry was great.
I am OK about the result. In that, I wanted my hair to be lighter overall, but essentially there wasn't much difference, other than my roots being better. I think the manager noticed this, as he said I'd have to come back a few times to get the desired result.
