Room provided was a single room that had been converted to double, so only had single headboard across both beds. Room was very hot on arrival, and on top floor, so sweltering - staff could have opened window beforehand. Spa facilities were enjoyable but run down. Massage treatment was excellent. Evening meal was nice, but during breakfast, staff tried to clear away drinks while we were getting food. Lift was out of service, which we had not been advised of, and very steep stairs were not ideal

We really enjoyed the treatments we booked, the beauticians were lovely. The lunch was delicious. Staff were very welcoming and attentive, particularly the matre de in the restaurant...fantastic service all round.

Spa day was cancelled twice due to sickness. on the third time (now 3 months on) we got to proceed but was told by the staff they had to cancel more bookings the day before due to no agency workers being available and more staff sickness. The therapists seemed very new and unsure of themselves and generally the experience was not relaxing. The whole place is overall very very tired and seems a bit grubby. The Jacuzzi was also out of use.
