I have used this hotel a number of times and loved the spa experience every time, this time however during my treatment I was warned that the fire alarms may be tested, of course I have no problem with this, however they continued to go on so the lady doing my treatment asked me to come with her in case it wasn't a drill, of course better to be safe than sorry, so half way through my massage we walked upstairs to be told it was still a drill/test and we could continue, it then came on 2 more times during my massage, considering my massage was only half an hour it was not the most relaxing experience, and of absolutely no fault to the therapist, she was brilliant and very apologetic. My friend then went in to have a facial straight after and was interrupted by 2 men walking into the room talking about construction. Your poor member of staff was mortified that we had to endure so many interruptions during what was supposed to be 'relaxing' treatments.
I will continue to use the spa as I love the place and this is the first time I haven't been fully satisfied. However, a heads up.......We come to relax and these interruptions were very annoying.
We had a nice day but the jacuzzi was too hot and lots of people were getting out after just a few minutes. The aromatherapy cave was a disappointment as the sparkly lights in the ceiling weren’t working and there was a bright white light on instead so it was just a room rather than a cave. It was much better last time we came. The ladies changing room is far too small. By about 3.30 it felt overcrowded and was not so relaxing so we left. We have been before and had a lovely time. Based on this weeks spa day I don’t think we’d come back or recommend it.
Absolute bliss! Alice, the lovely spa therapist was excellent and her calming energy helped ease any stress and tensions away. Highly recommend the spa and the quality service received!
