I took my partner for a relaxed night and roughly everything failed at some level. The hotel shouldn't even be on a Spa website (Spaseekers) as it doesn't provide the comfort or the ambience that a Spa should. The hotel is old and not comfortable enough, it was under massive refurbishment, the staff was not professional enough (specially the cleaners), the inside pool wasn't cosy and the restaurant is only mid-range (we even had to send or steak back for a second attempt).
I wouldn't recommend at all and it surprises me how SpaSeekers is offering such a product. It makes me questioning their concept, not sure if I would go back to them.
The spa was nice and the price was great. The afternoon tea was delicious. The cleanliness could be improved and the jacuzzi wasn’t very appealing due murky water.
The whole experience would have been much more relaxing if it had just been a bit warmer. I asked for the heating to go up in the treatment room twice and the therapist was unable to. In the restaurant it was also a bit chilly too. I know the outside temperature had dropped a lot that day, it seems the hotel hadn’t adjusted accordingly to make it a more pleasant experience. Other than that, we enjoyed our time there.
The facilities are wonderful but could do with a deep clean and a bit of tlc especially in the changing rooms. Overall, the afternoon tea was lovely, the massage was fantastic and the staff were great. I have already recommended this spa to friends and family.
On arrival we were informed that there were no slippers or lockers available due to no delivery, the main pool was closed meaning that the pool was over filled by other hotel users so space was a bit of an issue, we had booked a spa package containing a two course lunch however when we tried to order this we were informed it was only main and pudding you didn’t get the choice of having a starter instead and the choice of pudding was minimal. Overall we were disappointed by the spa package provided
