My partner and I had a one night luxury spa package which was brilliant. The staff, food and facilities were lovely. We both had a full body massage with Leanne who was amazing and this was the best massage ever with her really working out the knots in my neck and legs. Although painful (my fault for not stretching enough at the gym) we laughed the whole time and ended with a relaxing face massage. The only issues were the sauna not being particularly hot, the steam room being ridiculously hot and the cave type room not working. Our room was lovely and clean, bed very comfortable however the shower was weak and the bathroom look sad and in need or revamping. Other than this I would stay here again as the staff were lovely and extremely helpful, even to one guest who was rude for no reason to a member of the bar staff.
I opted for the Swedish Back Massage with Mary, who was very friendly and very good! Lovely massage set us up for the day. The afternoon tea was also very good and freshly made,
The actual spa facilities were a bit tired to be honest, and the changing rooms were tiny with just one small shower and toilet.
However, for the money spent, the staff were very friendly and helpful and I feel as though I did get value for money by the treatment and afternoon tea. We viewed the spa facilities as an added extra and on that basis you can't really complain.
Had an amazing spa weekend, spa was lovely and relaxing. Treatments are superb. Special thanks to Lisa, who was warm, friendly and an extremely good therapist.
Hotel shabby and in need of facelift. Entrance down the stairs to the spa is a disgrace. A real turn off before you arrive. The lounge bed covers around the pool were filthy and again very disheartening .
The treatments were good if a little hurried. Staff good. Lunch most enjoyable.
