So they started 20 minutes late, the lady who did my eyebrows made me very nervous as she didn’t have any English to discuss what I wanted them to look like. I was put in a very low ceiling annex, and was told that once my eyebrows had been waxed that I would have to sit outside and wait for the dye to set because someone else needed the room.
I had actually booked and paid for my eyebrows to be threaded, but I was told they couldn’t do that and it would have to be wax. The waxing didn’t seem very professional. The girl doing it was lovely, but she was touching my eyelids a lot and made the eyebrows incredibly HD which is not at all what I wanted.
As she was applying the dye to my eyebrows, someone else kept opening the door and shouting at her to hurry up because another customer was waiting. How stressful! Then I was sent outside to the hair dressing room, where the eyebrow lady told the hairdresser in another language to wash my eyebrows in “10minutes” and I set my own timer. Everyone was laughing about this, and it made me uncomfortable. Then, it was extremely obvious that the hairdresser had never done this before, so she was lightly rubbing my eyebrows with cotton as everyone watched, laughed and commented in another language.
The whole experience was extremely stressful and unprofessional, my eyebrows are massive and far too dark. I couldn’t even complain because I just wanted to get out of there.
All of the ladies in there were seemed lovely, but the service and level of professionalism is an absolute joke. I would never return here and I have to go elsewhere to get my eyebrows fixed.
Due to lack of appropriate equipment, shellac removal took one hour instead of 20 minutes advertised. The method used was extremely harsh on my nails and it has ruined them quite significantly. Staff were friendly although didn’t speak English so it wasn’t possible to raise the issue at the time while I was at the salon. I wouldn’t recommend them for shellac removal as they just don’t have the right equipment and your nails end up suffering as a result!
I went for Japanese hair straightening but as I had my hair highlights done 7 months prior they refused to do Japanese straightening but offered to do Brazilian blow dry instead . So got that one done . They assured me good results , so waiting to see how it goes . The staff even though was not speaking English at all apart from the lady at reception , seemed polite and helpful
I went 3 weeks ago.
1. Staff dont speak English. We used Google translated to speak.
2. they didnt wash my hair before applying any product. I told them that I have spray and oil product. THey didnt want to.
3. I definitively think that it was not a Japanese straightening - I used to do itin France. My hair used t be very soft and no need to use even a blowdry.
4.My hair are now so damaged. If I don't dry them just after a shower with a blow-dry they are like an afro haircut and very dry, no soft,chaff.... I tried Argan oil, coconuts hair mask. Impossible to repair them. I'm really sad and desapointed.
5. I spent 120£. On the phone she receptionnist pretend that i had a discount because its should be more expensive. The day I went, they told me that I paid with a fees, bacause I booked throught treawell....
