Very disappointing overall. Small pool, dark with very few places to sit and the two hammocks were very dirty. It's in need of some money spending on it and could be a lot nicer. Food was very expensive. Outside eating area was nice but no umbrella's to keep the sun off.
very nice place, but not clean at all. All greasy in the steam room, but staff members were very helpfull and nice
Booking was easy and straight forward. We booked online in the evening so the following morning we got a call from the spa reception to confirm and select treatment times. We booked two 30 minute treatments at 4.30. The day was well explained over the phone and overall a great first impression. Upon arrival we were welcomed and shown around the facilities and got on with our day. Starting with a nice walk around the golf course, gym and the a few hours in the pool/jacuzzi/steam which were all well maintained. This was followed by a late lunch in the cafe. The food was excellent (particularly the steak sandwich). We then made our way down to the treatment rooms 15 minutes before our treatments as requested. There was a sign on the door that all therapists were busy so please come back later. We sat in the courtyard and waited. About 10 minutes later the therapists came back to the spa. Some time later we were asked acknowledged and asked to fill in a consultation. These were done and we then went upstairs to start the treatments. The consultation didn't seem to have been looked at as I was asked the same questions in the room that were on the consultation form... Skin type, main concerns, pressure etc. I was then left to change and once comfortable on the couch, the facial started. There was no explanation as to what the procedure was or products that will be used. The therapist was clearly very experienced and the facial was fine however there was no attention to detail on setting the ambience e.g rolling the chair back and forth from the facial couch to the wash basin, opening the water fully when washing sponges, knocking of facial product bottles during the treatment. Overall the treatment was fine but could have easily been so much more relaxing. My fiancé had a massage and very much had the same feedback. His perception being that we weren't members/regulars so got the feeling there was no extra mile to make a good impression. His treatment was interrupted by someone knocking on the door and coming in the room by mistake during the massage and again, no discussion or explanation about the treatment, areas of concern etc. Overall it was a nice day. We would return and either skip the treatments and just relax in the facilities or try a different set of treatments on a different day to see if there was any comparison.
Had a really lovely relaxing day and staff are very helpful. Breadsall Priory is set in gorgeous grounds so we could have a walk too as well as enjoying the leisure facilities.
This was a lovely venue in a lovely setting, clean and well maintained - I joined the gym there and then :-)
