Booked day spa & tea for myself & daughter's home-from-uni-birthday-treat. Lovely day but it flew by! Outdoor hot tub was very murky so gave it a miss, otherwise facilities good, could have been bettered by a pool but knew there wasn't one before we booked. Pedicure /Manicure fine but a bit rushed. Friendly staff & good afternoon tea. Would probably visit again especially as local for us
I had a very good experience here. The rooms were not ready when we arrived, the staff offered us prosecco while we waited. The staff on hand are very good, the spa was clean and well maintained. The room was spacious and clean. All in all the hotel was of a very high standard and I would definitely recommend and stay again.
I thought to treat my daughter and myself to a spa experience with tea. The hotel is very smart and the spa facilities seemed very nice. The changing room was a bit on the scruffy side when we got there but it looks like it is cleaned quite often so we were just unlucky I guess. Our massage was good although it seemed a bit on the short side - but that could just be my take on it and the therapists allowed my daughter and I to share a room which made it very pleasant. The tea was scrummy and there was plenty of it. It was strange to see the therapists acting as waitresses as well.
On the down side the Jacuzzi was on the small side and, to my taste, a bit on the hot. It would be a good idea to have two of them. We were very lucky with the weather as it was a glorious day and very warm. We were unlucky to have four very loud women on the decking who monopolised the four sun loungers and ruined the peace and quiet. Even when they weren't using the sun loungers they left all their stuff on them so no one else could use them.
The hotel definitely need to have more sun loungers out and stop people smoking on the decking as well.
I am unlikely to come back.
The hotel is clean with nice decor. The staff all performed above expectation. The spa facilities are lovely. Hot tub - great. The views are wonderful over the track. The food was good. Parking a slight issue - had to use overflow car park. Rooms were as de luxe as their name. The biggest surprise was the fact that we did not hear anything outside of our room - we have never stayed in a hotel where the sound proofing was so good - a massive plus for us. We would recommend the hotel to our friends.
Lovely place, excellent massage, nice food, friendly staff. No pool and not enough do in the spa, one small sauna and steam room in the changing room, hot tub is tiny and outside. I would go again for the rooms, food and massage but not for the spa facilities.
