Didn't observe washing or sterilising of hands between waxing previous customer & my brow threading but inexperience/poor technique was the main problem - extremely painful and now more than 2 days later still left with red welts and two inch-long lines of scabs where the skin was broken. I don't have particularly sensitive skin and have never had that problem with threading in other salons in 15 years.
Only one member of staff on duty though several customers in the shop, but was she was punctual and courteous. However given the quality of treatment will not return and would advise others to avoid.
I had the Brazilian waxing first. I was given some paper pants to wear (and you can of course keep them on if you want!) but was quickly advised that it would be much easier and a better result with none on. I think dignity is out the window with this treatment anyway and although I felt embarrassed, I went for it. I’m glad I did as I now have an excellent result, probably the quickest and cleanest wax I’ve ever had.
I also had a deep tissue massage which was nice but not really what I was looking for as I have knots in my back and don’t feel these were tended to even though I asked for more pressure.
I also had an eyebrow wax and tint and very happy with the result.
So whilst I would 100% recommend this salon for waxing and eyebrow grooming, I would only recommend the massage for relaxation rather than therapeutic purposes
Staff made me feel like I was an inconvenience, meaning that I felt uncomfortable during the wax. The room was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned, there was nowhere to leave my belongings and clothes except the dirty floor. She also double dipped the stick into the wax, rather than using a new stick each time. In spite of me saying that the wax was too hot, she did not turn the temperature down and burnt me.
