Unfortunate. I've never left a bad review in my life, but there is always a first. I paid £5 extra for hot stones with my massage and saw nor felt a single stone, hot or cold. I really hope they put that £5 towards charity, otherwise I was ripped off and nobody but this business benefited. The service felt cold and unwelcoming. I was kept waiting for my service and this was not addressed or apologised for. The service left me more stressed than you'd expect a spa visit to cause. You would hope it would be the opposite. I was always addressed as 'the lady' and never heard my name addressed nor knew the names of the strangers touching me. The whole experience was the worst I've ever had. I'm sure others may experience differently so perhaps I just got unlucky but I would not recommend any of my family or good friends here. My face was used for teaching and the lady showed the trainee what not not to do, on my face. Not a motion of what not to do but actually the thing to not be done was done on me. Also whilst my eyes were closed, I heard pictures being taken. I'm sure they are respectful enough to not have included me in the photo, but to hear that noise whilst your eyes are closed and you are half naked under a towel is jarring and most of all unprofessional. Spas should always leave you feeling as though you're walking on clouds but I did not leave as so. If you were my friend, I wouldn't wish this kind of bad experience on you at all.
Booked this couple's massage as part of a treat for my partner's birthday. The venue is lovely. Very clean and stylish! The massage itself was good. Unfortunately, what sounded like things being knocked over and the therapist bumping into the massage table disrupted the relaxing atmosphere. We were also rushed out of the door immediately after we were dressed.
