I do not recommend this salon. The nail artist didn't seem to be using new file on new clients and the table and around it was just dirty.I visited the salon yesterday (my 2nd time) and the nails were not great, with imperfections. I asked for my nails to be re-done, they weren't cured properly and looked horrible 2nd time in a row. This was a massive waste of time for me as I had a big event the next day. I asked for a refund and got refused, I paid £35 for the service.
Hard to find the venue, no ambience when you get there and the staff weren’t all that welcoming, I was the first customer of the day and the salon wasn’t very clean, the manicure was too quickly done and I’m usually an assertive person with what I want my nails etc to look like but because the appointment had all felt so rushed I felt like I couldn’t ask for my nail art (foils put on in a rush) to be redone. Won’t be returning, which is a shame cos I had high hopes for this place.
Was 30 mins late to start. Minimal cuticle work. Nail colour not taken to the edge of the nail. Areas where topcoat was missed… Nail art was nice but wasn’t what I asked for… I felt rushed to choose - think the tech was distracted by the fact next client was waiting and she was running so late with appointments. Place could do with a tidy; and service needs to be better, if your paying those kind of prices. Likely won’t be back. Better basic salons in walking distance - shop around.
Julie was lovely and tried to work around scheduling problems which had messed up our appointments. But I was left with a poor manicure - she didn’t cut my cuticles and the BIAB looks like it hasn’t even been infilled. Julie tried her best with my nail art, and I really appreciated the effort. It was clear that scheduling issues and staff communication was the main problem. I had to book an appointment with another salon to redo my nails :(
I always found Kristie’s nail art and the length of time my nails remained strong and unchipped to be excellent. Although I had consistently good looking nails, I will unfortunately be finding a new nail tech. The customer service received varied massively. There are so many options in the city centre and little reason to continue as a paying customer if you’re not entirely happy. My appointments often started late, sometimes with no communication prior to this. Removals and filing were often overly painful (in comparison to nail services at a number of different salons) with little concern from the nail tech when it was raised. Although, as stated initially, the nail art was excellent and my nails looked amazing, the hit and miss levels of professionalism is where this place could really improve.
